This is Venteux.

We invite you to Chicago's newest brasserie, cafe and oyster bar, set at the very heart of all that the city has to offer. Venteux's cuisine strikes a delicate balance between the classic and the unexpected, which you'll notice both on the menu, and in the presentation of each dish.

You'll find all the iconic French cuisine - steak frites, whole roasted duck, oysters flown in from the coast daily - but also encounter unique flavors, get to know our take on escargot, and rethink your idea of classic French onion soup. Regardless of your preference for the tried and true classics or the element of surprise, every dish features only the freshest ingredients, and receives every ounce of our attention from the time we take and prepare your order, to the moment it's served to you.

Hailing from a large Italian family in the suburbs of Chicago, food has played an integral role in Joseph Mosconi's life from an early age. Growing up, Mosconi's parents encouraged him to prepare his own meals, which allowed him to get creative in the kitchen and discover his
passion for culinary arts.

Venteux is a stylish and modern French brasserie that specializes in perfectly-executed and refined contemporary fare.

Located in Chicago's iconic Art Deco-inspired Carbide and Carbon Building, Venteux is as energetic as a bustling Paris street while still rebelliously romantic. Helmed by Executive Chef Joseph Mosconi, Venteux is rich with traditional French cuisine, such as whole roasted duck, steak frites and an array of seafood dishes.

Upon arrival. guests are immediately drawn to master craftsmanship of the spotless brass fixtures and the centrally-located oyster bar, where freshly flown-in oysters from the United States coasts are perfectly shucked. Venteux's dining room radiates sophistication and sass as modernized vintage decor and tuft fabric chairs sit under soft lighting. Guests are encouraged to pair meals with fine Bordeaux's or aged cabernets from the restaurant's vast wine list. In addition to the spirited dining room atmosphere and crowd-pleasing scene. Venteux also features a coffee bar for on-the-go guests who want to indulge freshly-baked pastries and croissants and smooth, aromatic coffees.
